As you are aware HPL’s Digital Inclusion Division has had a rewarding WeCAN Works partnership with Houston Community College to provide GED classes at our locations, as well as GED testing for those successful students that complete the class. Just recently we were informed that due to budget cuts HCC would reduce the number of offsite GED classes. Beginning this fall most classes will be taught at HCC campus locations. There will be no GED classes offered at the following HPL locations: Frank, Smith, Montrose, as well as our WeCAN partner Burnett Bayland Community Center. Classes will continue at Carnegie, SW Express, and Vinson. Please refer all customer inquiries to the nearest HCC campus until further notice.
