Pin numbers
Good Morning,
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on the pin numbers for customer accounts.
Moving forward, we should always let the customer reset the pin if they have forgotten, as opposed to looking the pin number up and giving it to them.
In the future, the pin number will be turned into asterisks such that we would not be able to view it, so we should start with this practice now to get the customers used to it.
Also, it is a good practice when creating an account for a customer for the first time to have them create their own pin. The five-digit pin is not something they will easily remember. Just erase the randomly generated five-digit pin and ask them to create a pin. This will hopefully cut down on the number of times a customer forgets their pin. Do not, however, change it to the last four of their phone number or any other set number. Just ask them to change it and let them type it in.
Thank you.
